A Fresh Approach to Legal Services

My journey into immigration law began unexpectedly and has been deeply influenced by both circumstance and mentorship. Originally, my professional focus was on criminal and estate law. However, life took an unexpected turn when I was working as a banker at TD, where I had the opportunity to serve Paul Dineen, who would later become my mentor. I approached Paul to discuss the possibility of articling under his guidance, despite my initial disinterest in immigration law.

My entry into the field coincided with a tumultuous period following the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan in 2021, which resulted in a significant influx of immigration cases at Chapnick, where Paul worked. Seeing the need for assistance in this area, Paul asked if I could help with immigration matters. Motivated by my longstanding passion for justice and advocacy for those without a voice, I agreed to step in.
